Parents-to-be who are expecting their first baby and who are choosing Baptism for their child are invited to attend two sessions of preparation. Infant baptisms are normally celebrated after the 10:00 AM Mass or during a 10:00 AM mass. Babies are baptized by immersion unless special circumstances deem otherwise. For pastoral reasons other arrangements can be made. Baptisms during the 5:00 PM Saturday Evening Mass and the 8:00 AM Sunday Mass are encouraged to give the parishioners at those liturgies the opportunity to celebrate baptism as well.
Parents who have already had one child baptized are invited to attend a baptism preparation session specifically for them.
