"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of age." Matthew 28: 19-20
God, throughout every age, has called people to Himself. He has claimed them as His own and has brought them into His Church. The Catholic Church, led by the Holy Spirit, has never been exhausted of beauty, wisdom and community to help you fall in love with Jesus Christ and live your life with Him. When you become Catholic, you say "yes" to entering into a relationship with God, the author of love, through the Church He established.
If you are interested in disovering what God has in store for you through the Catholic Church, consider joining RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults). Attending RCIA is a time for you to ask questions, grow in your faith, and decide whether you want to join the Church and receive the Saraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Communion). Throughout this process you will attend sessions where you will learn the richness of the teachings of Christ through the Scriptures and Traditions of the Church. You will be presented to our parish community in a Rite of Welcome, so our family can pray for you, and then presented to the Archbishop at the Rite of Election. You won't be on this journey alone, we'll help you choose a sponsor, someone to walk with you as you discover, question, and pray about receiving the Sacraments at Easter. At the Easter Vigil Mass (the night before Easter Sunday) you will receive the Sacraments of Initiation - Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.

Hi my name is Mark Slezak. I went through RCIA and want to share with you my experiences and what being part of the RCIA program has meant to me.
My reasons for joining the RCIA program were simple. I wanted to attend and be part of the same church as my blended family. I wanted to be a positive role model for my 6 year old son and for him to have religion in his life. That was it. I had no other expectations.
What I received in return was so much more. As I attended the classes I found myself intrigued by the understanding of the traditions of the Catholic Church. I took great satisfaction in knowing and understanding why “we” do the things that we do during the mass. It transformed me from being a person who goes to church and sits there to be entertained by the priest to a person who goes to church to truly worship our Lord Jesus Christ. Not only has it made my relationship with God stronger than ever, but I found that my personal relationships, my work life and the overall feeling about myself was improved as well.
I would like to take this opportunity to reach out to anyone who is or knows someone that has ever considered becoming a member of the Catholic Church. Perhaps your husband or wife is already Catholic. Your kids are Catholic. You may attend church regularly along with your family. Why not take the final step? Now is a perfect time for you to join them in their faith Journey.
Trust me in saying, the RCIA program is the best kept secret here at St. Paul’s.
Please consider giving it a try.
