This vital and dedicated behind the scenes group cleans and prepares the liturgical linens used for worship and changes the Vigil and the Blesed Mother Shrine candles.
Participating as an Altar Server is a unique opportunity for our youth (Grade 4 +) to have a hands on experience in the Mass by assiting the priest during the celebration.
The Cantors lead and enhance the Assembly's singing and proclaim the Psalm at weekend and Holy Day liturgies. Training, scheduling, and rehearsals are arranged with the music director.
The choir is a traditional SATB choir. This gifted group sings all styles of liturgical music. The choir practices and sings at Mass several times per month, September through May.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion distribute the Body of Christ to the Assembly during the weekend and Holy Day Masses. Some are trained to take communion to the sick and homebound.
Greeters begin our communal experience and help to bring our parish closer together as a community. They welcome individuals as they gather for worship, assist visitors, and provide information.
Gifted musicians enhance the liturgical music and support the choir in an effort to inspire the assembly to active participation. Our instrumentalists play at designated weekend and Holy Day liturgies.
Lectors are blessed with the great privilege of proclaiming the Word of God and leading the Prayers of the Faithful during the weekend and Holy Day liturgies. Training and resources are provided.
Sacristans prepare for the celebration of the Eucharist. They set-up before and clean-up after our liturgies. The Sacristans assist with checking in liturgical ministers and the upkeep of the sacristy.
In addition to assisting those gathered for worship, ushers are responsible for taking up the collection, guiding the communion procession, distiburting bulletins, and readying the church for the next service.
