I am very excited to start another fun filled educational school year. I am currently in my 5th year of teaching here at St. Paul Catholic School, and this current school year I will be teaching a multi-age classroom of second/third graders for the second year in a row.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater with a bachelor in education for Early/Middle School Education, Special Education, and Early Childhood. I possess a wide range of experiences in teacher with starting her at St. Paul’s as a Kindergarten teacher then moving down into the 4-year-old kindergarten and last year moving into the second/third grade multiage classroom, where I have been now for two years. I have also taught in a Special Education classroom, and a seventh and eighth grade classroom.
I grew up in a small suburb of Milwaukee known as St. Francis, and attended a Catholic Grade School myself. My husband and I are currently living in Wauwatosa and just had our first child, a cute sweet little girl named Leah. In my free time I enjoy camping, shopping, spending time with my family and playing with my puppy, an 85lb black lab, named Tank.
My philosophy for teaching is that each child is unique, and learns in a different way. One of my jobs as a teacher is to help your child discover their individuality and work alongside them to maximize it. I look forward to interacting with you and your child this upcoming school year.
