The St. Paul Prayer Network was started by Rosemary McCarthy (RIP) many years ago. We currently have 15 parishioners in this ministry, praying for the needs of others upon request. Our purpose is to pray for individuals in need of the power of prayer in numbers. We receive the request for prayers through email or telephone, passing the information on to all in the network and we individually pray on our own. Some of the topics we have prayed for range from pregnancies, illnesses, surgeries, faith, strength, marriages and guidance.
When submitting a prayer request, one can be as specific or general as they wish to be, including full names, first names only, or general information (such as a 63 year old female), the intent of the request (illness, faith, strength, surgery, etc.) and any timeline for the requested prayer(s).
We also review the ‘Needs of Our People’ prayer requests as often as possible and include those in our daily prayers as well. We routinely include prayers for Doctors, Caregivers and all diseases negatively affecting people in our devotions.
We welcome all new prayer intentions as well as new parish members wishing to join our ministry at any time. Please submit any prayer requests, questions you may have or interest intentions to our email at prayernetwork@stpaulgenesee.net or call the Parish office.
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Colossians 4:2
The Rosary is prayed communally in the main church:
The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is prayed every Thursday at 3pm in the Adoration Chapel.
Spend some time in quiet prayer in our Eucharistic chapel. The chapel is open to visitors 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Key card access is needed. Contact the Parish Office at (262) 968-3865 to get access.
